Group 5 has finished their creative challenge and we are excited to present to you their final photos of the character created. The theme for their challenge was to create an ent in clay, with magical abilities that lives in the deep dark forests of Helsinglight. When we have presented the final work by every creative challenger/contestant in group 5 we will announce the winner of the group that will advance and compete in the finals later on. This is the final result by Martin Franzén, creative challenger, group 5.
"The Forest Mender” by Martin Franzén
I am not great at creating characters so this challenge really pushed my limits here. The clay was so fun to work with that time just flew by. This entire experience has really lit my creative flame ablaze. I can't wait to make more soon.
"The Forest Mender"
Have you ever walked through the forest of Helsinglight and looked at the trees? The Small saplings growing in old stumps and the young trees in odd shapes and places. There are so many that you might not notice it immediately but if you look close, you might see the signs of the Forest Mender.
The Forest Mender or Ae as the old trees call him, helps new trees take root and encourage them to grow in unique shapes and sizes. Ae can't exactly remember his past. It was more of a haze like dream. He only remembers being taken care of diligently every day. He had everything he could want and loved to be in the presence of his caretakers.
Then one day it stopped and no one came to care for him. That day approaching 87 years old, Ae opened his eyes for the first time and left his pot for the forest. To this day he wanders the forest, taking care of the trees like what was once done for him.
