Different industries , artists and FX Makeup artists today use everything from simple mold casting to more advanced mold making techniques. When we create FX special effects, loose parts or fantasy masks, we use different molding methods and materials such as plaster, silicone, various plastics, 3D etc. When you start to try your hand at and immerse yourself in the subject of moulding, a big new world opens up. There is an enormous amount of knowledge to acquire and it requires both time and patience to learn all the different techniques of molding that exist and it is important to choose the right material for the right occasion.
