About Helsinglight
Helsinglight is run by Petra Shara Stoor and Fredrik Fernlund. We’re based in Vattlång in northern Hälsingland, Sweden – in a former schoolhouse with our own FX studio where we host courses in our own space.
Behind Helsinglight’s commissions and courses is Petra Shara Stoor – mask maker, FX makeup artist and mask designer working professionally since 2010 on theatre, film, TV, music videos and other productions for stage and events.
We work hybrid: Petra can work from our studio or on location with you, depending on what the project needs. We also tailor courses, workshops and creative conferences to your specific goals – from foundational classes to more specialised commissions.
What we offer
Courses, workshops & talks
Training in FX makeup, realistic injuries, masks, prosthetics and special effects – at our studio, on your premises, or on location at events, trade shows, corporate days and team-building sessions. Petra also takes assignments as a guest instructor and speaker.
Consulting & production commissions
Petra Shara Stoor working as mask maker, FX makeup artist and mask designer for theatre, film, TV, music videos, events and advertising.
Mask design & character creation
Design and creation of characters, mask constructions, prosthetics and special effects for film, theatre, events and advertising.
Casualty simulation & moulage
Realistic injuries and trauma makeup for accident reconstruction – used in training, healthcare, emergency services and rescue drills. Internationally known as casualty simulation or moulage.
Heritage conservation & reconstruction
Reconstruction and reproduction of ornaments, stuccowork, decorative elements and sacred details. We take commissions in heritage conservation, cultural environment care and ecclesiastical heritage restoration – for property owners, restorers, parishes, museums and the public sector.
Props & custom-built details
Props, set dressing and custom-built details for film, theatre, photo shoots and events. We make both realistic objects and stylised pieces – from individual details to fully crafted environments.

A reliable partner for production companies, theatres and cultural organisations. Choose between a B2B account with discounted pricing and your own login or consultation where we plan and manage your purchases for you. With either option you get access to our full supplier network – far beyond what’s visible in the online shop – and we can place special orders when needed.
