Group 3 has finished their creative challenge and we are excited to present to you their final photos of the character created. The theme for their challenge was to create a whimsical, trickstery little hare in clay. A hare with magical abilities that lives in the deep dark forests of Helsinglight. We also gave them the story about the Swedish folklore legend the “Milkhare” to get inspired from how to write their storytelling. When we have presented the final work by every creative challenger/contestant in group 3 we will announce the winner of the group that will advance and compete in the finals later on. This is the final result by Andreas Sundin from Finland.
The whimsical, trickstery little hare “Sture” by Andreas Sundin
I had not worked with clay in a while so to do that again was a blast... I had a LOT of stress in my day job so to sit down and play whit clay in the evening was so much fun and I'm really inspired to do more projects.
Sture
Once there was a hare that was named Sture. Sture was no ordinary hare, no he was a milk-hare that stole milk from the farmers around a small town in Sweden and he was quite good at it too. He was so fast that the only thing the farmers saw of him as he past them was his famous tale, a big red ball of yarn..All that milk went to the witch in the woods whom did not own a cow of her own..
but one fateful dawn when Sture was doing his run a farmer by the name Jan-Roger got a hold of the tip of Stures tale. Little did Sture know that he was showing the way to the witches hut as he happily jumped home.. Jan-Roger who was a resourceful man quickly started to follow the red yarn string that led in to the woods..
That morning when the witch pored the milk in to her first cup of coffee, there was a loud knock on the door. As soon as she opened up the door she knew what had happened as she saw the red string in Jan-Rogers hand. But then a miracle happened as in most stories of this kind. Jan-Roger saw right in to the eyes of the witch and she looked back at him and that was all it took - it was love at first sight and of course they lived happily ever after. But what happened to Sture you might ask. Well he wasn’t that lucky because he ended up as a the main course in a romantic dinner for two.
