Helsinglight's blog: Discover a creative and magical world

Thank you again for letting me take part in this challenge. It's been great to get to try something new and be part of creative process during this awful lockdown time. It's really cheered me up.

This week we will present another new employee at Helsinglight, namely Martin Nilsson! Many of our Swedish readers will surely recognize “Spökpodden” (ghost podcast). It is one of Sweden's biggest podcasts within the supernatural and occult genre that was named one of the best new podcasts of the year in Sweden 2019.

FX industry professional Calum MacDonald will be the next creative artist trying out Helsinglight AAiR - Alternative Artist in Residence at House of Helsinglight, 21th February-13th March 2020. Calum MacDonald is an FX industry professional based in Scotland where he runs Gibbet FX which provides FX Makeup.

This week I am going to introduce myself. My name is Emma Dzakula Karlsson and I have been working at Helsinglight for a few weeks.

We would like to introduce Fredrik Lindgren who has come to Helsinglight to do his thesis in prop making. From having a dream of becoming an orthopedic technician with Halloween as his favorite holiday, the interest in creating costumes and masks grew stronger. He therefore moved from Umeå to Skellefteå to begin his education in film design with prop making.

Mexican-British special effects designer and photographer Rubén Gerardo Alfaro Moreno and assistants Laura Alfaro Moreno & Monica Rodriguez Rodriguez also from México stayed at Helsinglight AAiR - Alternative Artist in Residence, 22- 30th November 2019. Spökpodden -crowned as one of Sweden's best new podcasts 2019 will be visiting Helsinglight on 11-12 January 2020 to record some episodes with us! Such an incredibly exciting collaboration! Spökpodden is founded by Martin Nilsson & Oscar Panizza and is a podcast with medial and occult guests as well as supernatural stories.
