Halloween is under way here

You can tell in the packing room. The orders are rolling in, and they are not just any orders. Right now we are packing blood, latex, wound wax and lenses that make people jump. Halloween season is here, and we love it.

What we are packing right now

Every year it is just as fun to see what you order, and as usual there is a lot of:

• Latex and wound wax for gaping wounds, scars and skin that looks like it has been through something truly nasty. Mehron Liquid Latex, Mehron Scar Wax and Grimas Derma Wax are going fast.
• Blood in every form. Thick Coagulated Blood Gel that stays in the wound, runny Stage Blood for fresh injuries and blood capsules made for the mouth.
• Tooth paint that turns an ordinary smile into black zombie teeth or a bloody mouth. Mehron Tooth FX comes in several shades.
• Scars that look real. Rigid Collodion tightens the skin and gives a sunken scar in a few minutes.
• The lenses, of course. Red, white, black and full sclera that cover the whole eye, but also so many other lenses. It all depends on the character you are creating.

Start with the character, not the products

Our best tip if you want to make something really good this year is to decide who you are going to be before you shop. A zombie that has lain in the ground for a long time needs completely different things than a freshly bitten vampire. Once you know what you want to achieve it is easy to choose the right things, and you avoid buying things that end up unused.

Think in three steps.

1. The eyes first

Nothing lifts a character as quickly as the eyes. A pair of red Bloody Red or all-white White Out does half the job for you. If you want to go all the way there are Blackout Mini Sclera and Zombie Sclera, which cover the whole eye. You will find more among our zombie lenses, red lenses and sclera lenses.

2. Then the skin

Color, shadows and texture. With liquid latex you build wrinkles, peeling skin and uneven surfaces that you then color in. Mehron Liquid Latex also comes in the shade Zombie Flesh, which gives a corpse-pale tone.

3. The effects last

Wounds, scars, blood and the small details that make people look twice. Here one or two products are often enough, for example Rigid Collodion and a little red cream makeup. Have a look among blood, wounds and injuries or in our collection Zombie FX Makeup.

An honest piece of advice, do not wait too long

We say it every year, and every year it is just as true. The most popular products sell out first. Some lenses and some effect products cannot be restocked at the last minute, and when they are gone they are gone for the season.

If you order in good time you get what you actually want, not what happens to be left. You also have time for a makeup test before the big night. That is our very best tip. Try the look once in peace and quiet, and you will know how long it takes, how the materials behave on your skin and whether anything needs to be added. Anyone who has done a test run always does a better makeup for real.

Everything ships from our own warehouse in Sweden, so deliveries are quick. But that does not help if the item has already found its way home to someone else.
